New Announcements This Week

THIS SUNDAY, August 1, we will conclude the sermon series on The Antidote for Anxiety: Three Prescriptions in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. The message at all services will be “Trust the Master's Love,” based on Isaiah 12:2 and Matthew 6:24-34. We will share the sacrament of the Lord's Supper at all services. Please see "More Information" on the main nnewsletter page for an overview of the series.

NEW WORSHIP SCHEDULE. Our Session has decided to modify the Sunday morning schedule beginning August 29. This decision, the result of 2 years of analysis and discussions, was not undertaken lightly. The key goals are: 1) to increase the participation of children and youth in worship, 2) to offer Sunday classes to those who attend all worship services, and 3) to increase our opportunities to socialize and attend classes together as one congregation. All of us will be affected to some extent; we hope that all will embrace this change as one that will re-energize our entire congregation. Please see "More Information" on the main newsletter page for a discussion of the particulars.

INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY. We will host families the week of August 15-22. As usual, we need help with food preparation, driving the van, hosting in the evening, and everyone’s favorite, staying overnight. We do need your help and appreciate all the help you have given us in the past. Please sign up in Fellowship Hall on August 1 and 8. Any questions, please contact Linda Browning at 856-1831.
