Wednesday Fellowship resumes September 6th and ends November 1st!
Wednesday Fellowship nights are special times for food, community, fun, and study, offering you and your family the opportunity to deepen your sense that SPC is truly your "church home."
Dinner is served at 5:45pm in the Gym followed by class offerings or programs for all ages at 6:30pm. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person or $20 max per family for dinner.
For adults, we're offering three classes:
- Bible Study on the Book of Acts with Pastor Doug. Study Acts to learn how the Holy Spirit empowered believers to share the good news of Jesus Christ among both Jews and Gentiles to establish the church.
- Faith & Finance with Regan Stuecker and Pastor Jeff. What if we lived like God owns everything? In this class we will discuss what it means to live out our faith in our finances as well as how to be responsible stewards with what God has entrusted to us. We will also cover practical issues like budgeting, getting out of debt, tracking your spending, saving, and investing.
- Community Quest | Disciple Dialogue with Rick & Ronnie Thomson. How do we live in the world without simply being of the world? Have you ever watched the show, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” with their segment, “Scenes from a Hat”? Well, at the end of class each week we will draw a new topic from the Community Chest to study and discuss together the following week. Some planned topics include: Living Biblically without judging; Loving your neighbor; Self-care; Honoring the Sabbath; Stewardship; Does it matter what we watch, read, and listen to?; Family Dynamics; Faith motivation vs guilt motivation; How do we talk to our kids and others about the tough stuff – current issues? What answers and guidance does the Bible provide?
For youth, there is Youth Group every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30pm for a time of fun and fellowship. In Youth Group, we talk about Jesus and apply his teachings to our everyday lives. Youth are always welcome and encouraged to bring their friends.
For children, there are different offerings based on age for the most appropriate learning environment:
- Elementary children will enjoy "Beakers, Bubbles and the Bible": Bible Lessons from the Science Lab. They will be using science experiments to go deeper in the Bible and have game time too!
- For babies through Pre-K, childcare is available with learning centers, Bible stories, and fun activities and games.
There will be no Wednesday Fellowship on October 11 for Fall Break.
