Wednesday Women
Adults Women

Wednesday Women will begin our summer study on June 14, and we invite any interested women to join us. We will read and discuss Bread of Angels, by Tessa Afshar, a well-known author of Christian fiction. It’s the story of Lydia, a seller of purple cloth in the first century Roman-ruled world, and the first documented convert to Christianity in Europe (modern Turkey). Tessa Afshar builds a beautiful, biblical, and believable back story leading up to Lydia’s meeting with the Apostle Paul and being baptized, as described in Acts 16. Her struggles and pain lead to a powerful message of forgiveness and restoration, as God deals with her problems one by one.
Wednesday Women meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday afternoon of each month, from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm., in the classroom behind the Sunrise Chapel. For more information, or to participate in our group book order, please contact Jane Matheu, matheu@mac.com, or 818-7872. Books will be $16.
