Ivan and Zhana Kalabric Class

Adults Class

Ivan & Zhana Kalabric will be visiting Sandia Presbyterian on Sunday, August 4, to give a Sunday school class to tell us about their new ministry in Belgium.  Ivan and Zhana are the first missionaries from Serbia to be sent out into international missions by World Partners (https://wpartners.org).

Ivan is originally from Serbia, while Zhana was born in Bosnia. They both grew up during the civil wars that tore apart Yugoslavia, and their faith stories reflect how God rescued them from the pain of those years.  They have a son, Mateo, and a daughter, Aria.  Their vision is to love their neighbors and impact their community by building the ministry locally while making disciples of Jesus.  Since 2015 they have served in the Netherlands, Cyprus, the Middle East, and Italy, planting churches and bringing people to Christ through small groups and Bible study. Ivan's gifts are disciple-making, networking and leadership development, while Zhana is a visionary and strategic leader and a certified Christian counselor which she sees as a tool for discipleship.

For the past five years, their ministry has been in Padova (Padua), Italy.  Recently, they received a call to work with an international student ministry in Leuven, Belgium, and they will move there at the end of the summer 2024.
