Dr. Frank Shope
Pastoral Support
I am a native of New Mexico and returned to Albuquerque with my wife Karen, after retirement.
My role at Sandia Presbyterian is to assist in Pastoral Care and Support on a part-time basis.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry, with a focus in pastoral
leadership and spiritual formation.
Within my former ministry assignments, I assisted churches in establishing pastoral care and
chaplaincy ministries. I assisted churches in engaging people through community ministries and
strategy development that enabled the local church to respond to crisis and social issues.
In retirement I have served as adjunct professor for Doctor of Ministry Seminars, teaching in
adult education.
