Living the Sermon on the Mount Together
Adults Class
Can Jesus' teaching in the Sermon on the Mount address the unique challenges we face today? How do Jesus' words get to the root of what oppresses people and divides society? In the Sermon (Matthew 5:15-forward) Jesus teaches a different kind of right living, and God's will not as a burden but a creative possibility that liberates us and conquers everything that divides and dehumanizes us.
Please join us October 4th through November to consider Jesus' teaching in the Gospel of Matthew (along with the reflections on scripture of George MacDonald, Dallas Willard, Jurgen Miltmann, St. Augustine, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Thomas Merton and others) and discover how it can guide us today. Books available for $10.00.
