Series: One-Anothering

Love One Another

January 11, 2015 | Dr. Doug Hucke
Passage: John 13:31-35

Jesus gave a new commandment: to love one another "as I have loved you." Jesus loved, healed, and ministered to everyone--he went to the cross for the whole world. This commandment was new because it was limitless. It was also new because Jesus does not love us because we are valuable. Jesus loves us and that makes us valuable. To love as Jesus loved is a call to action, not a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Series Information

Genuine community and fellowship in Christ: we all want it. Do we know how-and are we willing-to cultivate it? Scripture guides us with many "one another" commands: love one another, encourage one another, speak truth in love to one another, etc. How might these commands deepen your relationship with God and with others?
