Passage: Psalms 85:1-13
Peace is elusive these days. Life is uncertain. Many are anxious and afraid as a result. Though life may be uncertain, we can be certain about God’s promises of salvation, faithfulness, love, peace, and well-being fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ. God’s invitation to us this Christmas is to set aside our troubles and fears and receive God’s true and lasting peace given to us through Jesus Christ.
Series Information
Christmas is the fulfillment of hundreds of years of prophetic predictions about the coming of the Messiah who would change the world. God’s people waited for a Savior who would come to rescue and restore a broken creation. They held onto hope that God would stay true to his promise. With joy, they anticipated Christ’s arrival. As a humble servant, Jesus’ loved all he encountered from the cradle to the cross. The world would know the peace of God, who had come near. Behold, our Savior is born, the world will never be the same.
