Series: Pushing God's Buttons

The Pause Button

June 16, 2013 | Dr. Doug Hucke

In our exponentially changing times it is easy to grow change fatigued. Radical change easily slides into fear. When you combine a culture of fear with exponential change it wears on our souls, and when something drastic happens we may just disconnect. But while the future may be uncertain and even terrifying, Jesus is in it with us. God is himself unchanging. Our unchanging God loves us and has plans for us. We might not be able to comprehend or see anything positive at all, but that is the time we need to rely on God all the more.

Series Information

We like to think we can control God, as if with the click of a button, that we can persuade God to give us what we want. But God is beyond our control, and His plans for us are far greater than we can imagine. There is a big difference between what we want and what we need, and we need to learn to trust God in all things.
