Passage: Psalms 89:1-4
On this second Sunday of Advent, we continue our sermon series: Behold: A Savior Is Born. In this week's message, The Servant Love of Jesus, Dr. Doug Hucke takes us into Psalm 84:1-4, 19-26 and reflects on how Jesus comes as a servant offering the unconditional love we desperately long for. In loving us, God makes us valuable. God searches in the filth and rubbish of this world through Jesus to find us, his priceless prize.
Series Information
Christmas is the fulfillment of hundreds of years of prophetic predictions about the coming of the Messiah who would change the world. God’s people waited for a Savior who would come to rescue and restore a broken creation. They held onto hope that God would stay true to his promise. With joy, they anticipated Christ’s arrival. As a humble servant, Jesus’ loved all he encountered from the cradle to the cross. The world would know the peace of God, who had come near. Behold, our Savior is born, the world will never be the same.
